High-performance aluminium for additive manufacturing

Additive manufacturing (3D printing) of metallic components is increasingly finding its way into manufacturing. Only the selection of materials that can be used is currently much more limited than with conventional production methods. This is where we come in to create extended application possibilities for the new technology.

Our high-performance aluminum alloy AlMgty® has an approx. 30 percent higher yield strength and is far more ductile (stretchable) than known aluminum alloys. This allows weight savings of up to 30 percent.
